Bangladesh Canada Association, Windsor-Essex, Ontario, Canada.
B.C.A.W.E is a not for profit organization, founded on May 28th, 2004 at the C.A.W Centre of University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
The founding principal of the association is to provide a united voice for the people of Windsor who are of Bangladeshi ethnic origin; hereafter they will be referred as "Bangladeshi Community" for the entire scope of this document. The means of performing the role of being a voice of the said Bangladeshi community is done through organizing Bangladeshi Cultural Events and yearly gatherings such as picnics. Also B.C.A.W.E interacts with different political entities of Canada to expose the difficulty Bangladeshi Community members face being a visible minority community. Thus the goal of this organization is to create an identity for its members so that the members could easily integrate with the General Canadian Population while preserving the Bangladeshi ethnic practices to the highest possible extent.
The membership of this organization is limited only to the residents of Windsor who are of Bangladeshi ethnic origin except for the express permission of executive council, where
the council may decide to extend membership to people who do not fall into the stated category.
